REGISTRATION
Registering is easy. Simply CLICK HERE and select the distance you want to participate in. Or use the “SIGN UP” button above or below that will easily guide you through the registration process.
After you register, you will immediately receive an automated email confirmation. 1-2 weeks prior to the event, you will receive confirmation materials via email with specific instructions about the event day.
CHIEF'S CUP PRECINCT CHALLENGE
If you currently work for a Baltimore County Police Precinct or Section, YOU CAN SAVE $5 and represent your department in our PRECINCT CHALLENGE. Inter-Department teams will combine times to compete for the prestigious Chief’s Cup which will be presented to the top finishing team. Prizes also awarded for the biggest team and most spirited team. Rally your sworn and professional staff co-workers and represent your department for year-long bragging rights.

Make a $150 Donation to our Baltimore County Police Foundation and your Race Entry is FREE! To earn your free entry, make your $150 tax-deductible donation during the registration process, and your race entry fee will automatically be credited. Must make your contribution at the same time as your race registration to be eligible for your discount. Other restrictions may apply.

SWAG
Participants will receive an Under Armour race shirt during packet pick up. Gender specific sizing options are available on a first come, first serve basis. REGISTER EARLY to ensure your size is available. Finishers will also receive a custom race medal featuring the 150th Anniversary badge design that flips down to reveal the county seal. (PLEASE NOTE: SHIRT COLOR & STYLE SUBJECT TO CHANGE.)
PACKET PICK UP:
You will be able to pick up your race shirt and bib prior to race day. Below is the schedule:

You can pick up a packet for a friend but please have their confirmation email with you to avoid confusion.
RACE TIMING/TIME LIMITS/RESTRICTIONS
The 5K is a chip-timed event. Participants will start at the same time and must finish their course in 1 hour. Participants can run, jog or walk the entire course. Don’t worry, the festival area at the end of the race will be eagerly awaiting you!
Jogging strollers are permitted but are asked to start in the back of the pack. Wheelchair athletes are permitted but due to safety concerns and street closure restrictions cannot travel faster than the fastest runner. No bikes, scooters, skateboards or other wheeled vehicles are allowed.
AWARDS
In addition to the Chief's Cup, we will have awards for the top 3 overall Male & Female finishers. Winners will get a trophy as well as the following gift cards redeemable at CVP 1st - $75, 2nd - $50, 3rd - $25 for men’s & women's.
POLICE OFFICER DEMOS
DEMO TIME: Post Race
Following the race, please join us for a special demonstration, Q&A Session and Photo Opportunity featuring the K9 dogs, Tactical team, Marine Unit, Helicopter, Forensics Unit, Honor Guard and more.
The BCOPD Police Museum will also be open during the event.
The police will also have the Virtual Training System set up…real life interactive training scenarios.
After you finish, make plans to stick around and check out some of the other fun activities that will help celebrate the occasion.
ABOUT THE COURSE
START TIME: 9:00am
The 5K course will start and finish at Baltimore County Public Safety Building located at 700 E Joppa Rd, Towson, MD 21286. We encourage all participants to pick up their packet at either of the pre-race packet locations. Those who need to pick up their bib on race morning should arrive between 7:30a and 8:30a to complete the packet pick up process. Runners must be able to complete the 3.1 mile course within 1hours (19:30/mile pace).
PLACES OF NOTE ON THE COURSE
- The course starts and finishes at the Public Safety Building which is home to the BCPD Headquarters
- The course passes by the Police Memorial which is on Chesapeake Ave just on the south side of Patriot Plaza.
- The course passes by the Towson Precinct which is at the corner of Baltimore Ave and Susquehanna Ave.

WATER STOP
Participants are welcome to bring their own water on course with them. We will have one water stop on the course and water at the finish line to keep your hydration up during the races. If you need additional on course nutrition such as gel, please bring your own.
AFTER THE RACE – POST RACE PARTY
Following the race, we will host a short awards ceremony on site in the greenspace near the finish line. Afterwards, we invite all participants and their cheering section to join us for a post-race party where we will continue to fun and fellowship. .
